New Leading Marines (DEP) Course

MARADMIN 640/10 announced the cancelation of the MCI Leading Marines and the activation of the MARINENET Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) Leading Marines Distance Education Program (DEP).

The College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) cooperated with EPME Branch, Marine Corps University (MCU) and the Lejeune Leadership Institute to develop the Leading Marines Distance Education Program to better support the the requisite leadership skills for Lance Corporals.  The Leading Marines DEP will replace the Leading Marines MCI.  The new course became available on MARINENET 1 January, 2011.

The new Leading Marines DEP consists of four sub-courses available on MARINENET.
-Developing Leaders
-Leadership Tools
-Counseling, Coaching and Mentoring
-Command and Military Organization

Only Marines in the rank of Lance Corporal and above can enroll in the course.  Completion of the Leading Marines DEP will result in self education bonus points added to composite scores.
